Joining or visiting our group
If you have a strong computational and/or mathematical background and are interested in our research, please get in touch to discuss joining or visiting our group.
Our research is focused on the development of new computational methods for the analysis of (typically large) genomic data sets. This requires a mathematical and computational background (e.g. statistics, machine learning, probability, linear algebra, algorithms, scientific programming). Our projects are computational, although it is important to be excited about applications within genetics or biology a background in these disciplines is helpful but not required.
- Postdocs: We are currently recruiting ERC/NIH-funded postdoctoral research associates. Statistics and machine learning for large-scale genomic data, population genetics, complex traits. Please get in touch if interested.
- Doctoral students: Applicants are encouraged to read about doctoral programs, including the DPhil in Statistics, StatML CDT, SABS CDT, Health Data Science CDT, and the Genomic Medicine and Statistics CDT and get in touch to discuss shared research interests.
