I am Professor of Statistical Genomics in Oxford University’s Department of Statistics and a group leader at the Centre for Human Genetics. My research focuses on developing new statistical and machine learning methods for the analysis of genomic data.

Before joining Oxford, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, where I worked on statistical and population genetics.

I hold a PhD in computer science from Columbia University. Earlier in my career, I earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Sapienza University of Rome and Columbia University, specializing in artificial intelligence and cognitive robotics.
